Ideal for peripherals/other low power devices

5/5 stars for its durability and price. I bought this product in January 2012. Six months have passed and the USB hub is still working without any problems. The USB hub has survived several bike rides in my backpack to and from school. I am using a USB hub to extend one of the USB ports on my early 2008 MacBook Pro. I had no problems connecting to any of my keyboards, mice or flash drives. The USB hub also works fine on my Windows XP Bootcamp partition. I don't use a USB hub with my externalโ€ฆ

Works perfectly; no questions!

I would rate the hub a 5 but found it worked for me with nothing I plugged into it. I have an external hard drive that is USB powered and this little box is not going to power that drive. However, for items that don't require USB power, the hub works as advertised. I have connected a printer, scanner and mouse to it and everything works fine. Because I was able to free up the ports on my computer when using this hub, I had enough space to simply plug an external hard drive directly into myโ€ฆ

  • USB powered

Fits in a computer, not a wall outlet

I bought this 4-port USB hub because I thought it would work with my wall outlet. This allowed me to connect and charge my iPhone and tablet, and anything else I've ever charged via USB, at the same time. Unfortunately, the hub must have its own external power supply for this. However, this works like a normal computer port. I was able to plug in 2 USB drives and for some reason I can plug my iPhone and tablet in here and they charge. It must have something to do with the drivers, telling theโ€ฆ
