I bought this 4-port USB hub because I thought it would work with my wall outlet. This allowed me to connect and charge my iPhone and tablet, and anything else I've ever charged via USB, at the same time. Unfortunately, the hub must have its own external power supply for this. However, this works like a normal computer port. I was able to plug in 2 USB drives and for some reason I can plug my iPhone and tablet in here and they charge. It must have something to do with the drivers, telling the computer to output more power or something. Otherwise I award 4 stars. Pros: Works well as a computer USB hub. The data transfer rate is the same. Good length of cord attached at the end. Cons: Doesn't work in the wall adapter.
