Works Great: Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I've used this cable to connect to some Ubiquiti network switches and firewalls. Worked great. The cable is well made and appears to hold up to use by a field installer. I have used this cable with 3 different PCs. The latest Windows 10 Pro PC did not require driver installation. I had to manually install drivers on older Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 7 computers, but installation was easy and they sent you a business card with a download link in a cable. I plan to make some DB9 adapters…

Worth the money, perfect for your networking kit.

Thanks to new technologies, many laptops don't have serial ports. It works perfectly! My work laptop is a 7390 2-in-1. Our security policy disables access to the USB port, but with this item there is no need to elevate my administrator privileges. Because even as an administrator, I have to elevate my privileges and disable the security protocols required to access USB ports. I have used this item 3 times with no problems. I plug it in, my operating system (windows 10) recognizes it as serial…

Fulfills its INTENDED USE perfectly.

This product does what it's designed to do. Allow access to the Cisco router through the router's console port. This is used to access the console on Cisco routers. To manage settings and other aspects of the router. If you're having trouble with it not showing up in Device Manager, it's not hard to get it working. Leave it plugged in, look for an unrecognized USB device in Device Manager, right-click, select "Uninstaller" and restart your computer. Then it should work as I have personally done

  • Fits many
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great product, works well with Cisco devices.

Every cable I've had was a console cable with a DB9 adapter, so I had to buy a separate DB9 to serial adapter. I've had mixed experiences with these adapters over the years where about 3 out of 6 have gone bad and had to be replaced. I bought this cable as a one cable solution and it works great. I had to download the drivers separately because my Windows 10 laptop couldn't automatically detect the correct drivers. After installing the driver I checked Device Manager and found that the cable…

worked with TP-Link T2500G-10TS

Here is my feedback after receiving this product and TP-Link T2500G-10TS. USB-C to USB Converter, other end to my MacBook (macOS Catalina v10.15.5). I opened a bash terminal screen (note that zsh is the default shell, but the OS update kept my previous default). I then ran (from the $ prompt) $ screen /dev/cu.usbserial-AG0JKQ72 38400 cs8 -ixon istrip and everything worked fine. I entered the command line interface and the commands ran fine. PS It turned out that TP-Link included a USB-C/USB…

Great cable, easy to use and adjust

With airlines lowering their carry-on restrictions, I had to buy a smaller laptop bag and reduce the amount of luggage I could carry. With this cable and a pair of RJ45/DB9 shrouds, I was able to ditch all my other serial cables and adapters in a fairly small and low profile package that takes up almost no space and is lightweight. Also does not need drivers on my tablet with Windows 10. For this I made two adapters that now allow me to access everything I need regularly, mainly Cisco and HP…
