I've been cooking for a few months now. I like this over others I've bought because the lid stays on. Other glass jars I've used have had their lids warped in my bag and eventually stopped working after a few weeks. I think that will continue over time.

I bought these containers because I've recently changed my lifestyle and needed glass containers to make my food work. These containers look nice and the glass is very strong which I like. For me, the compartments are the perfect size for portion control, so they're almost perfect. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because one of the lids was cracked so I can only ship full solid foods if I choose this particular lid.

I've used some nice plastic/software lunch boxes but they were so hard to keep closed and the dishwasher ripped them even when I put them on the top shelf with no heat. Usually out of the dishwasher. They don't retain stains or odors like the plastic versions and the lid always stays on. They fit perfectly in my satchel style purse without spilling. They also hold up quite a bit. When choosing, I looked for dishes that would help control portions. They fit well enough for that, especially if a salad is a side (the big half). But even if they didn't work for this purpose, I would still love them! The lids fit very well and I don't have to worry about leaks.
