Description of 🔧 Reliable and High-Quality Continental OE Technology 6-Rib Multi-V Belt - Model 4060740 (74.0")

Gatorback Poly-V belts quiet channel technology are designed for quiet performance, constructed for high efficiency. Quiet channel technology is a unique staggered-cog profile and advanced rubber compounds virtually eliminate noise typically associated with pulley misalignment. High-strength tension members allow greater wear resistance. Quiet channel technology also makes the belt more flexible and run cooler, resulting in a belt that lasts considerably longer than comparable belts. Goodyear Engineered Products are now branded Continental ContiTech. Gatorback Belts & Hose are now branded Continental Elite Belts & Hose *** The brand name has been changed to "Continental"; Item may be received in either Goodyear or Continental packaging.***.

Good for Corolla LE 2007

Corolla LE 2007 creaking under the hood. I knew the problem was with the serpentine belt. replace it. (including parts and labor, they told me they would help me inspect more areas besides the belt. Sigh!) Spent $22 on this Gatorback (Revain.com), installed it on my 2007 Corolla LE in less than 15 minutes , the noise stopped immediately . I've been riding for 2 weeks now, good belt, good buy!

Good replacement for OEM

This was a Goodyear Gatorback belt (same) and worked fine in my 2008 Toyota Corolla. The original OEM belt started squeaking at 70,000 miles in the morning. When I took it off I saw no sign of any cracks or splits. I compared it to a new belt, both got about the same length. I didn't want to put it back on after struggling to take it off, so I put the new belt on and noticed that I actually had to pull on the auto-tensioner (more than was necessary to take the old belt off). ). So far the new…

Watch for free! Now I can drive around town like a normal person!

Borrowed this very long and thin "belt tensioner tool" from AutoZone for free. Took off the old hardened belt. I spent an hour putting this new belt on. actually did the job himself. I'm not a mechanic or even mechanically inclined, but I was able to do the belt change myself in less than 3 hours. Did I creak at first? I couldn't figure out if it was a belt, pulley, or alternator. Thankfully, this belt got rid of that annoying squeak! It fits my 2004 Toyota Celica GT (2ZZ-FE?) perfectly.

Good, but not very quiet, plus a few pro tips.

Put alligators on my 2006 Xterra and Corolla. They're not as quiet as I thought (I thought they were very quiet) but they make a nice harsh buzz. At the crown, I recommend removing the power steering reservoir on the left for easier access to the rear lower pulleys. . They are held in place by 2 10mm screws. Also, when replacing, I would replace (hang up) the alternator pulley (top front) with the last one, since it's easiest to tighten by pulling on the breaker to ease the tension. It took me…

Great quality and solved my squeaking problem

great quality and solved my problem right away! My serpentine belt has been squeaking on rain/snow/wet/wet days for years. I currently drive a 2006 Toyota Corolla S and keep track of its maintenance given the number of trips I make to work. I was very upset that I paid just over $100 for a part and belt replacement when I had the same squeaking issue in 2011. There are a lot of do-it-yourself videos on the internet these days and this has saved me a ton of money! I highly recommend doing some…

The screaming has stopped!

I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla CE with over 100,000 miles and since it was a year old it has been creaking on first start in cold and/or wet weather. I had read TSB about a possible tensioner failure but decided to just replace the belt first. After receiving this belt and removing the old tensioner, checking the tensioner showed no oil leaks around the hydraulic boot above the spring and what appeared to be adequate tension. I've felt a little lateral play in the idler pulley, but that can be…

Great belt and fits 2001 Prizm/Corolla

Works great on our 2001 Chevy Prizm. I originally bought this to eliminate the Poly-V belt tensioner rattling noise (common on this car) that could be heard when the car was stationary or driving slowly. That helped a little, but didn't solve the problem. I ended up replacing the tensioner assembly with a Continental Elite 49346 Accu-Drive assembly and now the noise is gone. This allowed me to get down to position the belt under the bottom pulleys while an assistant held the belt on top (my 14…

Eliminated the squeak from my 2005 Toyota Corolla S and was easy to put on

This belt eliminated the squeak from my 2005 Toyota Corolla S! When my car started to squeak a little, I figured I'd have to take it in for a service, but thanks to a helpful YouTube video, I was able to determine that the problem was with my serpentine belt, and that it was fairly easy to replace. I ordered this a few months ago and when it arrived I realized I didn't have the only tool I needed to get the job done: a 19mm torque wrench. After asking friends and family, none of whom had what I
