Perfect for any size deep dish rim

Works great with deep dish carbon rims. The protrusions at the tip also ensure a good grip when filling with the Presta valve pump. Be sure to apply teflon tape to seal the tubes before screwing them on for a better seal. This is the 3rd set I've bought. Also make sure you choose the right length so you have room to place the pump on the valve stems. I tend to go for longer valve extensions as I have rims of different heights 60mm, 88mm and 100mm.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Read the instructions. Really

At first I just tried putting one of these puppies on the tire presta valve on the aero wheel but it didn't work at all. As I was preparing to give this seemingly pathetic product a one star and nasty rating, I happened to look at the INSTRUCTIONS and realized that the valve had to be disassembled BEFORE attaching the extension and that the black plastic part in the packaging was a wrench designed to do just that and not, as I initially understood, a cockroach clip lost by a Continental or…

  • No Power

It would have been better to buy the right size for my tubeless stem but my LBS was only 44mm. I had enough bite for a small air cartridge, but it would have been too short had I used others, an unfortunate oversight when traveling. These stem extensions are the right length, don't look silly, and work better than extensions when the valve doesn't need to be removed. I used duct tape to make sure I had a good seal and had to reinstall the tires so I could inflate them after installation. So if…

This is the valve extender you need

Don't waste money and fret using valve extenders that don't have the function of actually moving the valve. The ones that simply screw onto the end of your valve and rely on pressure to open the valve are a pain in the ass compared to these guys. Never had a glitch with this brand or its more sophisticated Zipp counterpart. Multiple bugs with other extensions closing the valve or not sealing the indentations etc. Get these and put your mind at rest. (You'll have to buy detachable valve core…

Excellent quality! Not suitable for tubeless installation.

First of all, I would like to point out that they did not work for me as I expected. I installed tubeless 50mm carbon rims and forgot I needed the stems attached to the wheel. They have no thread to attach the lock nut and can easily be pushed into the rim, allowing air to escape. However, as a product this is a much better option than using extensions that screw onto the Presta core when it is difficult to check the pressure with a standard gauge and it is necessary to insert a piece of wire…
