Control 4096 Traceable Humidity Temperature Review

This is the third room hygrometer I have bought. The first two were always at odds. Reading reviews of these devices convinced me that anything cheap is unreliable. This device responds quickly and provides consistent readings that appear to be within a few percent of relative humidity. I highly recommend it.

I didn't like that the calibration was dated April 2025. It's about 16 months later and they need to be calibrated/replaced every 2 years. It looks like it's on a shelf somewhere. Oh, and it was already on so the batteries are probably half dead, or it was a return for the same reason. The plastic part was missing from the battery holder that you pull out when you buy it. Possibly returned because of the date code.

Benefits: This unit is supplied with a traceable Z540-1 certificate of calibration, measured at 24.0°C and 45.0% relative humidity. The instructions are quite simple, but without them it is not difficult to understand how to use this device. It comes with a kickstand that you can use, but it mounts at a pretty low angle.
