Great Product with one hiccup

The only caveat that existed was that while the product description for the E3/N3 type give the impression that there's an N3 cable included, THERE WAS NOT an N3 cable. The remote and receiver are of decent build, and getting started is a simple process. They work without issue, and the modes are easy to navigate. The back-lit LCD is a nice feature for those who are shooting in low light conditions. This is a good choice for people who wish to reduce camera shake while doing long exposures, or…

Pros
  • connected quite easily.
Cons
  • The remote may be too expensive for budget-conscious photographers

Works well on a Canon T3 (EOS Rebel)

It works well with my Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1100D in Europe). You can connect the receiver to the shoe for the flash, then the cable from the receiver to the input on the side of the camera for a shutter release controller. You can connect the main hand controller to the camera directly as well, but the provided cable looks to be too short. It can be done though. The functions are pretty easy to learn. Just follow the directions in the manual. I took a few test shots with this unit and it works…

Good buy, great tool

A very decent tool for creative photography. Manual could be better but overall I am very satisfied with the purchase! Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Easily capture candid shots without interrupting the moment
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all USB connections

A wireless shutter that I can use

The wireless shutter release is very convenient and easy to use & program. I mainly use it as a remote shutter and bulb. I like the bulb function in that one press of the button starts the bulb and a second push turns the bulb off, great for long time photos. The intervalometer function was easy to program. and the wireless feature finally allows me to be in group photos and well posed selfies.

Pros
  • The device is easy to set up and use, with simple button functions
Cons
  • The wireless connection may not work in areas with high interference

Works great on my terrific Sony HX50V - compact camera

I bought this set for the fun knowing it would be almost comical to have a serious remote for a 'pocket camera'.BUT, guess what! For selfies out and about with my Pedco Ultrapod II mini tripod, I am no longer a slave to that darn 10 second timer and maybe trip down a ravine running to get back into the shot!No breakable antennas sticking out like on the remote I use with my heavyweight Nikon DSLR.Works great for focus/ single remote shots right out of the box.The instructions are as expected - a

Stopped Working Correctly

I was doing a long interval shoot of orchids blooming. It worked fine for about a month doing a 20 minute interval. Then is stopped working at long intervals. Still works at 5 minutes, but for some reason if I try for 6 minutes or more the camera won't fire(tried direct wire, multiple cameras, different settings-nothing worked). I reached out to their tech people and was told they would email me back - never heard from them.Still works for 5 minutes or less, but I really need 20 minutes - I…

Pros
  • Take stable shots with minimal camera movement
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all third-party software

Works great! good for me

Very happy with this product. I bought two in order to control two cameras at the same time from different angles. This is quick and easier than navigating the sub menus of the cameras. They also work great as a simple remote shutter release.

Pros
  • Take stunning photos in low-light environments without camera shake
Cons
  • The remote may not be compatible with all photo editing software

Exactly what I wanted

I was looking for a way to wirelessly control the shutter on my older Canon Eos Rebel camera. It did that pretty much right out of the box. I know it has more programmable functionality, but for now I am quite pleased with just being able to take a picture, remotely - without or without a delay. This is ideal for long exposure photography.

Pros
  • Item is as described and works well with my Nikon camera.
Cons
  • The remote may not work effectively in extreme temperatures

Essential for my photography

I bought this back in 2021, I have been very happy with it and recomend it! Its been very usefull when testing light setups (self protraits) and product photography. I only had minor issue with focusing but that was due to camera settings only.

Pros
  • Low-consumption LCD Screen: We uses low-consumption LCD panel to reduce its power consumption and extend working time greatly. Both of the transmitter and receiver communication channel adopt LCD screen display, which enables all the information to be displayed on the screen. So it’s easy and clear to handle.
Cons
  • The remote may not be durable and could break easily

How to program timelapse more than 99 shots

N1 can only go up to 99, but if you set repeat to a low number (say 1) then N2 can be set to some number or infinite __ (double underscore) this way when the N1 99 counts down to 0 then repeat times out (1 sec) and since N2 is infinite the "99" program just starts over or it will run "99" program for the number of times N2 is set for.

Pros
  • Work quickly and efficiently by reducing setup time
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all remote control devices

amazing addition to cameras

this remote is so easy to use, i love that you can just plug it in and start using it. very slick, great range, a great product to have if you are in to photography, especially when shooting by yourself!

Pros
  • TW-283 with wired or wireless timer shutter remote. It features no directionality, 80M+ remote distance and ultra-powerful anti-interference ability
Cons
  • The wireless connection may be slow to respond

Works as advertised.

Like another reviewer I am a Nikon D5600 user who didn't have an inexpensive solution for remote shutter. I was a little leary because of some negative reviews. After trying this thing I can say it works as advertised. The cord is not really long enough to use as a corded trigger but nice cord are readily available. For me it works petfect as a remote shutter. I havent tried any thing fancy or long night exposures yet.But as a trigger for my camera pointed at bird/hummingbird feeders it works…

Pros
  • The remote can also be used as a wired camera release for secured tripod applications
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all white balance settings

Great value best in my review

This is a great value. It works great. It doesn't include batteries, though (4 AAA). Also, the manual is very wordy. How to work the different functions and modes is hard to understand, especially for a novice/amateur photographer. I ended up learning more about how to use this by just playing around with it.

Pros
  • The remote's programmable delay and interval timer make it perfect for time-lapse videos
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all camera shake reduction modes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I have used.

I bought one of these for my D810 a little while back and it works great. I had a different brand for my other camera that worked on a basic level but it seems i was always fighting it one way or the other. I finally gave up and got another one and it is a joy to use. Simply put it works exactly like it is supposed to every time.

Pros
  • Enjoy the convenience of operating your Sony camera from a distance with the PIXEL TW-283 S2 remote
Cons
  • The remote may not be compatible with all software programs

Astrophotography best in my review

I use this remote control for astrophotography, and one of the best feature is that this has a really long range. The remote may not work with all lens correction modes.

Pros
  • With the remote's long battery life, you can keep shooting for longer periods without interruption
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all lens correction modes

Lots of features and works perfectly.

I was sad that my new e-m1 didn't have the infrared port that I used to use for remote shutter. This fills the void. It's even more convenient because I can trigger the shutter without pointing at the camera. the remote is comfortable, and the backlight is a nice touch. All these extra features are included at the same price as the competitors. The only issue could be that it's a little bulky and awkward looking with the cable running from the adapter to the port and the port cover hanging open.

Pros
  • Ideal for photographing starry nights, fireworks, and slow-moving subjects
Cons
  • The remote may require specialized cables or adapters

Good product let down by a horrible manual

Well, it connects to my camera just fine. It appears to have nice options but don't assume the manual will be helpful. Manual is extremely confusing as one would expect. So far it works for doing what I need it to do. If I have have the patience, I'll sign in and see if I can discover more functionalities.

Pros
  • Increase the quality of your photos with stable, clear shots
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all metering modes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for long exposures

Had some difficulty at first setting a long exposure (>30 seconds) but after I figured it out it works perfectly. Fortunately it stores the prior settings so once its setup its pretty easy to simply change the number of seconds for a longer or shorter exposure time. Cant be sure how well it works for Astro or Interval Timer - its probably another battle to set that up and switch back and forth - but it works great and is super easy to use ( once its setup ) for the single shot long exposure I…

Great remote shutter

I'm able to trigger this thing from around 100 ft away. It has great range. Really bummed that it uses disposable batteries instead of something rechargable. Getting it into the correct mode is a little difficult, so I typically carry around the instruction manual incase I forget.

Pros
  • Photograph difficult angles with ease, without contorting yourself
Cons
  • The remote may not work with all image quality settings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

works great - my new review

I like it a lot - i shoot a lot of low light so having a remote shutter release is a must. I had a wired one but it was a bit of a hassle if you're walking around and/or moving your camera to a new spot.the cord was always snagging on something. This one works great, and I like that you can switch shooting modes via the remote. No complaints so far.

Pros
  • Streamline your workflow with quick and easy access to remote operation
Cons
  • The remote may not function properly with certain camera accessories
