Best set for the money

All-Clad and Viking are great. But for the money, good luck beating this one. They are attractive, conduct heat well and remain beautiful after many use and wash cycles in the dishwasher. I also have All Clad D5 and they are great. But the Cooks Standard set hangs by my All Clads and does it with no shame.

Durability and high quality

I love this set! I got tired of buying lots of pots and pans every few years so I settled on this set. I'm really glad I did! They are dishwasher safe and look great! The only thing I don't like about them is the frying of the eggs. There's a learning curve, but I'm confident (with enough practice) I'll be able to do it. If in doubt about buying them, do it. They work very well and are a great addition to our kitchen! In fact, we even bought additional default chefs for this set!

Sturdy with clean lines

I bought this set for our new glass range cooker. I was so sad to get rid of the pots and pans I've had since I got married, but I'm so glad I bought these pans. They are durable, look good and are easy to clean. They require special care in the sense that you cannot clean them with a brush or scouring powder. A friend of the bartenders makes a great line of cleaners for these pots and yes they are dishwasher safe. Now I have to get a big frying pan. Trust me you won't be disappointed with…

Simply the best money can buy

Excellent quality, heavy duty and durable stainless steel. No forgiveness at all. The practical and flexible steam insert is great. I prefer jars with metal lids. Glass becomes cloudy over the years. I don't see enough difference between them and my All Clad pans to justify the much higher All Clad price, especially for plain pans. I bought this set for my son's kitchen to help him get started. I was so pleased with the product that I ended up buying a 3 liter pot. It's one thing to say…

Good quality inexpensive cookware

We bought these because we needed a multi-layer stainless steel pot and pan set that would last a long time. We have had many Teflon coated kits replaced. Didn't want another teflon coated set! This set was reasonably priced with good features. I shopped, read reviews and this set is a winner. We've had them for a couple of months now and can't complain, would recommend this set, excellent value for money! Update: We've had this cookware for a while now, we haven't had any issues with this…

Addendum: my experience. Chefs vs. Calphalon

UPDATE: Recently tried some Calphalon pots and a skillet. They are the same as in the $300 set (Costco price). The only difference between Calphalon and Cooks cookware is that Calphalon has a heavier Teflon coating, making it a little easier to clean. Cook's cookware is way better in my opinion. This takes some getting used to as the layered property holds heat very well. You need to heat pans and pots slowly to allow the heat to disperse. If you heat the pan too quickly and throw a burger in…

So far so good. In the long run we have to wait and see.

This is my first stainless steel set. In the past I've tried using a stainless steel pan to fry eggs and had a terrible experience. I recently installed an induction cooktop in my kitchen and tested it by purchasing a stainless steel pan. Having used it successfully a few times (check out some online videos on cooking and cleaning stainless steel) I felt comfortable buying the set. I've been using this kit for a few weeks now and it's working great for me so far. We'll have to wait and see how…
