WARNING: PRIVATE COOLERMASTER CONNECTOR USED (NOT STANDARD A-RGB)

Please see the images for why this is NOT a standard RGB addressable hub. It uses Coolermaster's proprietary A-RGB fan headers, which are thinner than standard A-RGB headers. You would literally have to cut off a piece of the connector to fit this Coolermaster hub. If you are not using their proprietary A-RGB fans, DO NOT BUY THIS HUB. Or you'll be forced to do what I did by manipulating the A-RGB cable connector to force it into this Coolermaster A-RGB hub.

Be careful when using RGB fans from other manufacturers!

I had to file some of my 3 pins to make them fit. I believe only Cooler Masters 3 pin fits perfectly so GL if you are fans of RGB you will most likely archive them from different brands so warn anyone who buys this the quality is good and it has a strong magnet easily presses onto the metal point where the cable management runs.

Get it if you want to run at full speed 24/7

This is a great product if you want your PWM fans to spin at full speed when plugged into the PWM headers are attached. If you want less than 100%, you absolutely cannot achieve it with this hub. Keep looking or find an alternative setup that doesn't require a hub. My Asus ITX board only had a case fan header. After some research I found out that you can put the AIO pump head in PWM mode and then adjust the curve manually. I run 2 case fans per slot, but I used to run 3 from the same slot withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • For old

The product is excellent, I was able to power all 10 of my fans. I used a 3-way splitter which I daisy chained my last 6, all 10 D-RGB fans to, my D-RGB pump, D-RGB flow meter and D-RGB GPU had water block. The only thing that didn't work was my D-RGB case. which I already had connected to another port on the motherboard, so it wasn't a problem. The problem with this product is simple. D-RGB cables for ALL my devices do not fit into the D-RGB ports on the device. In fact, I had to trim off theโ€ฆ

I should have read the reviews. Only fits own brand fans and cables

I think it's my fault I didn't read the reviews before buying. The item itself works fine but the connectors only fit their brand of cable. I made the mistake of needing an RGB extension. Not suitable. As with these other reviews, you have to break the cable to fit the slot. They could at least contain some small expansion keys or something. I use their fans but can't believe I have so many problems with the extension cord.

Powers fans; PWM not working

Based on other reviews I only half expected the PWM functionality to work. Unfortunately, all three of my 120mm Noctua fans are running at 100% regardless of the PWM setting in the BIOS. The documentation says absolutely nothing about what to do if this feature doesn't work, other than making sure a PWM fan is connected to the RED connector. I need to dock the stars for this undocumented limitation. I could try switching the fan ports and see if that has an effect, but I'm currently hesitant to

Okay, but prepare to cut your RGB connectors

Works great. Fan control is as it should be and aRGB control (I'm using RGB Fusion 2.x, Gigabyte B450 ITX) was perfect. The hub itself is about the size of 3 SSDs stacked on top of each other. aRGB ports found - they are small. If your RGB has extra plastic around the pins you will need to trim it off. I have 3 Enermax Squa RGB fans and 2 Fractal Design Prisma AL14 fans. They all took around 1-2mm of plastic cut off on either side of the RGB connector to fit into the hub. (Look at the pictureโ€ฆ

great for connecting lots of fans BUT

If you expect this to be a workaround for a 12V header on the motherboard. You are wrong. The SATA cable powers the hub but still needs to be connected to your cpufan or sysfan_1. And needs ARGB to connect to ARGB (5v) header, it says msi compatible. Well it doesn't work on my B450 Tomahawk Max. I had to connect it to the controller that came with my Coolermaster 3-in-1 fan kit (super crappy controller, I can't even connect it to my reset switch. Because I wanted blue I just set it toโ€ฆ

Best money spent on internals

I bought this RGB fan hub hoping to finally get RGB working with my RGB fans. My motherboard doesn't have a header so I just bought it thinking it would power my RGB fans. I didn't see any lights after installing so I just assumed you need software to enable those lights. I checked the website and there is ABSOLUTELY NO software that supports this device. I am very disappointed in the lack of functionality in this product. I hope the next RGB hub I order will work. And yes, I installed Coolerโ€ฆ
