Function as expected. Extremely impressed - exactly ready. I installed it in less than a minute. Looks just as sharp. I suspect this thing will last forever.

Measures temperature correctly and matches other thermometers. Odd design as the probe cable comes out the back center of the instrument I believe this would be useful in the case where you mount the thermometer outside of the instrument and insert the sensor directly from the mounting position.

I think that makes sense if you mount the thermometer outside of the device and plug in the probe directly from the installation position. Otherwise, the design is a bit awkward, as you can't leave it on your desk, for example, without it tipping over.

If you look at solar digital swimming pool thermometer, you will find bad or indifferent reviews. Most of these are toys. Some require a button press to turn on the display for each reading. Some fail in a few days and some rust the screws etc. This has served me well for a year, mounted outside. Finally it failed after a strong thunderstorm. They're not sold for that purpose, but they're so much better than those sold for pool use, so I'm going to put them in a weatherproof clear plastic case.
