Worth the price!

Medium sized all copper alligator clips have been surprisingly hard to find but this is just what I needed. I use them for electro etching and electroplating, and copper plated steel alligator clips (quite easy to find) corrode quickly if used for these purposes. It looks like these from ProTech Trader will last a long time.

Pros
  • All copper alligator clips for use as a solder heat sink or quick clip on test lead connector
Cons
  • unreliable

The high-quality clips are ideal as coolers on the model railway.

I purchased these clips to use as a heat sink when soldering power wires and rail splices onto on my HO scale model railroad track and they work great. The sleepers are plastic and can melt easily but these clips are small enough to get into small spots and prevent melting the sleepers. I also buy larger 2 -inch clips that can absorb more heat and use a combination of the two sizes depending on the space available. These clips were shipped quickly, they are high quality and I am very happy with…

These copper clips are ideal as heat sinks for small soldering jobs.

These copper terminals make the perfect heat sink for the little soldering jobs I do. I took my Epiphone Sheraton apart and redid all the electronics. I went through some expensive parts and overheated them. I'm planning on attaching a resistor along with a couple of these clips, and these copper clips from ProTechTrader have wire entry tabs and a wire solder hole; I really like that the hole is on top; It's a lot easier to solder the wire to them! Also, I have arthritis and these clips have…
