THEY WILL NOT FIT Tools & Equipment

Shit! The truck is disassembled for the job. The special tool ordered to facilitate the repair DOES NOT FIT! walks halfway and stops. Know that the truck has broken down and you need to order a quality tool instead of this CHARACTER! My partner checked with a micrometer, I forgot exactly 0.021 too big? I'll post the current one: Quality Control P00R

Terrible installation in axle tools

Doesn't fit my 2010 F250 I had to machine both center rings to install them on the axle for the drivetrain seal then the tool wouldn't go into the knuckle to put the seal on the correct one Depth therefore had to be ground 1/6 of the entire outer profile. It was shipped 1.5 weeks after ordering and arrived 3 days after order last arrival date.

Not worth its weight in the metal it's made of.

This product is a perfect example of the poor workmanship that Chinese products are known for. If you want the lowest quality and most useless paperweight, I suggest buying this. If you need a tool to get the job done, you need to modify it to make it work. The inner hole is smaller than the racing surface at the end of the axle.

Will fit steering knuckles but not axle shaft

Bought on a warehouse deal knowing it might or might not fit. The OD fits the knuckle well, but the ID does not match the axle. I had to bore out the inside diameter until it slipped over the shaft and hit the step. The squeal-prone rear end held exactly two seals, and if it is to be used again it will need to be welded and possibly reinforced with heavier gauge steel.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥

  • Piggy bank price

Close, but not quite.

Working on my truck in the middle of the night on a tight schedule, I found that the inside diameter wasn't large enough to fit through the axle shaft of my 2013 Ford F350. Trying to find a repair shop in the middle of the night is a little agonizing. I also had to remove a small amount of material from the outside diameter. Although it fit in the ankle it was too tight for my comfort as it tried to get stuck in some places. If they make sure it fits all axes it would be a good tool but next…

Broke on first use.

Luckily I was able to apply the seal quickly and correctly. However, it turns out that this is a very expensive tool for a one-time use. I started putting the seal on and immediately noticed that the ID of the tool was too small and it actually seated the seal and itself onto the shaft at the same time. After fitting the inner diameter, the seal was installed quickly and easily. Then, during my final beat, the head of the instrument falls straight to the floor. It looks like the head is just…

Inaccurate description

This item states it is for 2005 and newer f250, f350 4x4 models. I have a 2010 f-250 4x4 XL. On inspection it looks very similar to the OTC 6697 but the bore size is incorrect and the tool will not fit the spindle to place the seals properly. I've read other reviews of how people got around this problem by grinding down the inside of the bore and it works fine because other sizes are fine. This is nonsense. I've been waiting an extra week for this tool and it doesn't fit. I'm not going to spend

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
