Luckily I was able to apply the seal quickly and correctly. However, it turns out that this is a very expensive tool for a one-time use. I started putting the seal on and immediately noticed that the ID of the tool was too small and it actually seated the seal and itself onto the shaft at the same time. After fitting the inner diameter, the seal was installed quickly and easily. Then, during my final beat, the head of the instrument falls straight to the floor. It looks like the head is just glued on. I know this tool was a lot cheaper than most, but I certainly didn't expect it to fall apart like that the first time I used it. It's time to take apart the welding machine and make sure this doesn't happen again.
