I have a '97 Explorer, Dora the Explorer, she has guided both daughters through high school and college. Dora took me to Sloan Kettering many times. . Now it's our backup car, I'm trying to get it working and looking good and this bar replaces the faded one very well. Have fun driving

Item appears to be of high quality but is less than 1/2" wide. This is approximately 0.45 inches when measured with digital calipers. I thought it might be 12mm wide like some other brands but the packaging clearly says 12.7mm which is exactly 1/2 inch. This material is not even 12 mm thick. It's only 11.4mm. This causes a problem when fitting an existing actual 1/2 inch cut.

Cons: No clutch, I ordered 2 packs and both slipped before I could finish the job. Luckily the Gel Control CA (quick drying) saved the day and it stuck. Wow it flexes very well around corners which is great for my use. Love the way my mini looks with the extra shine and goes great with the existing chrome. It's been 3 weeks so far so good.

I replaced a bad one year old release bar. I rushed to add trim which ultimately failed because Cowles products were only available in dealerships but only in limited sizes. You can count on the flexibility and adhesion of Cowles products.

I used fine sandpaper to clean and smooth the black vinyl surface. I then used alcohol wipes to remove any oil or sand. The product worked as advertised, however I applied it at 82° and in the sun to make it easier to rotate. I read that he will be 1 to 2 years old. Assuming it's still available I can handle it. Completely satisfied. I suspect those who didn't get good service either didn't follow directions or used common sense.

I haven't written a review in a while because honestly I don't have the time. I received this trim kit after installing the vent panels on my 2018 Ford Edge and wasn't happy with the fact that the panels were all black hiding the factory trim. I bought this reel with 1/2" trim to give the visors a factory look and really couldn't be happier. High quality material, flexible and with original 3M adhesive tape.
