Sledgehammer recommended

Using a small sledgehammer it took a little effort to install the front two on my 86 f150. I don't know if I can get them out. But they did their job.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Repair

Installed on a short bed F250 with Travel Lite 700 Camper

I've had a truck and camper through some tight spots and some steep hills and roads with no problems! Even a speed limit in Mexico at around 45-50mph and not a single problem.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Good value for money !

Great value for money. They fit my 2000 Toyota Tundra snugly, but a big hammer convinced them they would fit. I had to drill a few holes but it's not scary. frame type.

Pros
  • Great value
Cons
  • Protection

CHEAP SCREWS! - External accessories

Junk hardware. Broke at my fingertips when tightening with a socket wrench. Installation will require major body modifications on older trucks. Be prepared to cut large holes in your bed if you cannot access the underside of the mount. To be able to tighten the top screw. Need someone with power tools. Fair warning! Cheap EQUIPMENT!

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • It's all right

Not for a large motorhome

I was told they would fit in a very light motorhome but my 3200lbs would tear them apart in an accident. So new in the box and I can't use them. Everywhere I went they said the same thing. I'm 75 and on a tight budget. They seem very well made and one star was just for me. For a light camper they would be excellent.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Probably great for old heavy duty pickup rails (heavier steel)

I have sent them back. It's probably great for older heavy-duty rails (heavier steel) but not for thinner rails (2013) and a heavy 9.5ft cold-weather camper. This information was not in the order information, but in the product information in the package.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • No

maybe by drilling the side holes through the bag and fixing they work fine

Very fast delivery. Does not fit in bed pockets. Need to change quantity for it to work. Why ship retarded screws for use in metal? I will definitely not try to use them. With modification and use of bolts/nuts, possibly drilling side holes through the bag and bracket, they work well and great. 1999 Chevy C2500 .1 star for delivery. 1 star for the look of the mount. Technology, fastening material and devices are missing.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Blank

worked for me good for outdoor accessories

Weighing only 1350 pounds, our earphones are strong enough. Fitting it to our 2000 F150 was a daunting task. I don't know how the local RV dealer would do this, but nobody could install the nut from below as shown in the brophy installation video. I decided to use a metal hole saw to gain access from inside the bed and it worked really well. All in all it took me less than 1/2 hour to install and we were on our way. If I had to do it again, I would choose the non-permanent mount version.

Pros
  • ideal for small households
Cons
  • lots of stuff
