Looks like they've started saving on materials.

I bought two of these, the first seemed to last forever. It actually didn't need to be replaced as I accidentally dented it. my fault Otherwise get great prints. The magnetism of the replacement was much weaker. A large bubble formed during printing which caused the seal to flex. I've even tried butterfly clips to hold the mat in place but to no avail. I had ruined three 12 hour prints. Also, this system consists of two mats, one of which is almost permanently bonded to the printer platform. Iโ€ฆ

Works great even without heat.

Works great. I use it continuously, no heating on my 310x310 bed. No glue, hairspray or tape required. If you don't know how to level your bed and fix all the common imperfections like bed bolt nuts that weren't properly tightened under the bed before the bed spring and travel were smooth, then yes, you've come to the right problem with even the best of things . Learn how to fix your bed the right way before you blame a bad product. I'm totally blind and installed this with no help, everythingโ€ฆ

This is the best printing surface I have ever used.

I bought this for my CR-10 as I was having trouble fitting it to the stock glass bed. -- I've been 3D printing since 2011 and this is by far the easiest, smoothest printing surface I've ever used -- it's really forgiving when it comes to leveling a bed -- and you won't need anything fancy too use to hold the pieces together (no glue stick, chemicals, hairspray or anything else). - Removing the pieces is also really easy - you just wait for them to cool and if the pieces don't come loose onโ€ฆ
