Basic tool suitable for power tools and hand tools

Great replacement for my tool box. I'm not a heavy-duty mechanic, but I need this extension every now and then. Well-known brand at a great price. I recommend it.

Good quality, durable

Bought as a necessary part to service my car. You need an extension cord to get to the spark plugs. Had good coverage, felt solid, did the job. No twisting or rounding. would recommend

Pros
  • Sample for one year
Cons
  • I won't say anything

What kind of tool: Hand tools

I know I have about six of these hidden somewhere in my garage. I was going to put my new spark plugs in, and because the top brace needed to be so long. It worked as you can imagine - very well.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I'll add later

value and quality. Best in Wrenches

Good quality and goes well with my sockets and bits. Wouldn't use this for my impact wrench but still solid enough. You're paying double for a 6" 3/8" extension from other vendors, so it's a pretty good deal.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

High Quality Socket Extension

I needed a socket extension to be able to change the spark plugs on my Toyota. The 6-inch extension was long enough to reach the spark plug but short enough to squeeze into the tight space under the windshield rain cover. I was able to apply good torque with no noticeable steering twist, and it fits tight without leaving room for wobble. For the price I would definitely recommend it for everyday use where an extension cord is needed.

Terrible extension with too much tilt

All of these positive reviews are based on the fact that this Crescent extension looks nice and shiny. In fact, this extender has a huge and unacceptable amount of "swallowing" or wobble when plugged into an outlet. I fitted a US made Craftsman spark plug socket and the "wiggle" from this extension was tremendous - much sloppier than the standard unbranded extension I have. There seems to be a connection between Crescent and others who have instruments made in China, like this instrument, and…

Pros
  • Provides more access to fasteners than using a separate socket and ratchet
Cons
  • So far so good
