T55 Torx helped remove old truck body bolts

Good quality socket. Soak the body bolts of a 2003 Ford Ranger for 4 days with a PB Blaster and hold the heads with an 18" houndstooth bar and 2 foot tension tube until the bolts snap. I was impressed that the head didn't come off.

Pros
  • Sockets and socket sets
Cons
  • Some bugs

Just a tool for the job

I have not been able to find this item anywhere in the area where I live. I needed to install a new idler pulley on my machine and that was the tool that got me through the project. It seems to be of good quality and arrived in just a few days. This allowed me to complete the project without much downtime while driving. Have to wait and see if I have to use it again. It's the center of my tool box.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Nothing here

Quality tool suitable for mechanical and hand tools

I bought this torx bit to remove screws from my truck bed. I've heard from multiple sources that I should buy multiple bits because they always break. My truck has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 20 years which means the foundation bolts have been wet and quite rusty most of the time. I had to use a four foot cheat stick to free her, even after soaking her in a PB blaster for days. This torx bit has held up great and looks like new even after this handling.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Reliability

Stronger than some others. Not strong enough for me

I bought two of these to remove stuck primary bolts on my Harley 103. I used the hammer function on my drill press and on four screws the bit turned slightly then four the five loosened and went. The last bolt didn't budge. Twisted and broke both parts on it. Coincidentally next to the footrest. I thought about removing it to get better access to my bolt but ended up breaking the ratchet because those bolts were also stuck. I'm thinking of buying two more of these and next time I'll try to heat
