My husband had to drill a hole all the way in to make it big enough for my large Tervis jar. I was worried it would break but it didn't but I think if we had made it bigger it would have. Love the design and concept but had to spend an hour or so widening the opening to fit the standard 12 ounce size. Allowed to. Part of the husk is easy to cut/slice, but the coconut husk underneath is very hard. I had to use a dremel tool to slowly cut until it was wide enough. In this case, use an N95 mask because the dust is annoying. Mounting to the handlebars went smoothly, but be aware that this holder is LARGE and can interfere with the cables (brakes, shifters).
