Not a big success in this house.

We have used this salad bowl several times since receiving it. It is not as shown in the video. The upper is so difficult to lock down that you almost have to struggle to put it on properly. For some reason it looks like it's enabled but you can't scroll through it. I thought it was me but my husband had the same problem. You can't rotate it while holding it on the counter as it moves everywhere. I literally had to put it under my arm to spin it. The back part works great, really got the water…

The handle for the spinner broke off

Purchased to clean up a small amount of greenery from my garden for my family of 2.5. It worked great for that, the very first day I got it. I liked the drainage holes on the side to let some water drain before I continue spinning. Unfortunately my 4 year old daughter was intrigued by the spin and stole it to play with while I wasn't looking. When I later found it, the handle was broken at the base. It's only held in place by a thin piece of plastic, which allows the handle to rotate as you…

Watch out for that head screw!

I love Cuisinart products in general, but this one is not one of my favorites! Most spinners are more expensive, so I'll put up with that problem. I like its ability to rotate and drain the salad - it works well. The second time I used it the middle cap on top came off and I couldn't figure out what happened because it seemed attached the first time I used it. I tested it to see if anything is broken and if it works. I didn't see anything broken and it still worked but its function was a bit…

UPDATE: Perfectly Fine isn't the easiest thing to use

Update: After installing the top "correctly" (it wasn't aligned correctly when it arrived - it may have happened during shipping - there wasn't broken) and got used to it, it works VERY easily. The reason I say it's not the easiest thing to do is because it's impractical. It takes some coordination to get the top in the right place, and then getting it spinning is no easy task either. It's lightweight, so it will move if not held strongly. I figured I would snap every time I started turning the

It works - it works well - how we use it

It works very well and keeps salad fresh for days. The size (3 liters) fits me and my spouse well. Here's how we use it: Take 2 parts lettuce and 1 part romaine lettuce right out of the bags, cut into bite-sized pieces, and toss in the trash. .- Replace and secure the cover (the following steps do not require removing the cover). Then fill the bowl (about 2/3 full) with cold water from the sink through the fill hole on top - Gently turn the handle to wash the salad. Pour this water out through…

This item is SMALL. A pound of vegetables is too much for him.

SIZE: To be honest I am amazed at the small size of this salad bowl. You might think a smaller size would fit me since it's just me and my husband at home. So I'm only cooking for two. But even for that it is not enough. To be honest I don't know what they were thinking when they made it so small. Maybe they should mark it "Singles Only". But even ONE POUND of greens is too much for this bowl's capacity. Even if you were single, you would have to wash your greens in batches. Who has time for…
