Honest Review: Single Shot Brewers

If you want an honest review, here it is. I had a Keurig (1.0 I think) that ran for 7 years with no problems until it stopped watering. So I thought about getting another Keurig but after using Friends 2.0 I didn't like it, it was very noisy. I have a Cuisinart blender that is over 10 years old and still works great. When I saw this Cuisinart coffee maker I decided to give it a try. Works just as well as Keurig but gives you more cup size options and doesn't take time to heat up. Does the…

Put the K cup on the bottom pin before closing.

There was an old version of the SS 700 that died after 6 years. Although this water tank is a bit smaller, it brews coffee as soon as you turn it on, so you don't have to wait to heat it up. Some K-Cups will explode if you just drop them and close them. The trick is to set the bottom first and then close it. It's a habit for me to do everything now, but it's ok as if you make it every bowl spills in it. Some of the K-Cups are made of thicker plastic so you don't have to punch a hole if you're…

Defeat competitors!

As a loyal Keurig customer, buying this coffee maker seemed completely out of the ordinary, but I'm so glad I did. I've been using Keurigs since the year they came out, and after my third machine, which is less than two years old, broke, I decided to stop throwing good money after bad. In truth, the quality of their cars has dropped to an unacceptable level. Searching for alternatives I went for this and what a wonderful cup of coffee I get! I didn't think I'd like the auto-off feature because…

very bad as it was a good indicator of what the device was.

First Impression: Smaller, lighter and apparently less water capacity than the SS700 it replaced. Gone were the blue LEDs in the water tank, which was a shame as it was a good indicator that the unit was on and the blue light at night was a subtle light that was easy on the eye. The water temperature is shown with HOT and XHOT instead of degrees z. B. selected. 192*. But XHOT is a lot hotter than the 192* setting on the SS700, which is a plus. Head functionality is just one possible…

Lifespan 2 months, no response from Cuisinart

Wow. I rarely, if ever, do this (negative review). but this is the king of bad coffee makers. We have had a previous Cuisinart model/version very similar to this one for 5 years in a row. It served us well (for a digital coffee maker - we've had a Bunn for 15 years - it still worked well, but we were tired of the dated look). back on track. In the end it failed (won't pump water) but I fixed it. then he actually died, maybe 2 months later. So what the hell? We saw and bought this qualitatively…

Compared to previous model SS-700

I bought this updated model because the plastic on my SS-700 was fading and I thought it would look better and be a bit better at brewing. NO. This new design is terrible. He squirts coffee everywhere. Here are some photos of it turning into coffee on the back of the machine and on the kitchen counter after ONLY ONE USE. I couldn't imagine the mess after a week of brewing. That means constant cleaning. Also, the used K-Cup dripped out of the pinhole when I took it out to throw away. The…

Second replacement in 2.5 months

I did a lot of research before buying this coffee maker to find the right features. Love the features but the coffee maker is a real disappointment. The day I received the first I set it up as instructed and when I ran through the first water it rumbled so loud my meter vibrated. It calmed down a little after the first cup of coffee, but it was still bad enough that I wrapped it up and sent it back. They replaced me and refunded my money. There was an error. Got a replacement that still…

SS10 vs. SS700

I answered a few questions above and in one of them I mentioned the fact that I've owned K-Cup brewers for many years (probably 10+ years). ). I started with Keurig, but almost every brewer I've bought has died shortly after the warranty expired. Then other manufacturers started making K-cup coffee makers and after much research (and expense) I got my first Cuisinart coffee maker (SS700 type). The first unit died after 1.5 years and I used the 3 year warranty to get a replacement (no service…
