Just buy them on towing items and winches

Everyone else here is right. They are very heavy and work great. I like them more than the brand on my last trailer. I'll steal them on my tongue when I get a new van.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

  • Hard to tell

Heavy Duty Hitch

Very well made and sturdy metal, I like how they overcome the maximum pivot point and rest on the frame side mount. The old ones only stopped at the top, which gave them a chance to let go when the pin was missing

In fact, many camorras do not fit and you need a tool

They are too "heavy" for no apparent reason. The pull rod is a lot thicker than anything I've seen so you'll have to buy a new wider tool. Also, they have a greater tilt angle than any standard set. I have 2 campers and neither fits! Make sure you have ENOUGH space before purchasing these meaty items!

Weak metal, breaks easily and often

I have been using Curt's loading arm for over 2 years. The shank you attach the chain to, only to break in the same spot every time, has been through 3 of these in 2 years and just bought a 3rd set. I will be selling this hitch system with my RV and will never buy anything from Kurt again. .My trailer weighs 5,200 lbs and this Curt product is rated for 10,000 lbs payload which is well above its rated payload.

does his job. on clutches

Amazing product for the price. Slightly rebuilt for the trailer I use the product on, but I intended it more for stabilization than actual weight distribution. The stud mount works well, although I added a couple of C-clips to hold it in place. If you are serious about long term use and don't need them to be interchangeable, I would suggest welding them in place. Nice key feature, they have a cotter pin locking hole to keep the jacks in place. No annoying rebounding or breaking loose. Also, the

Excellent value for money in the exterior accessory range

I bought these for my tractor trailer when one of my Reese snap-in brackets broke (my fault for not putting enough load on the tongue). attaching the chain). They were a little different than Reese's braces. First, all parts on this model are formed and welded, as opposed to Reese's formed and forged construction. I think I trusted the Reese brand more than these, but money was tight so the price definitely won me over. So far, so good. They seem to work just as well as the Reese clamps, but…

Awarded a recommendation

I bought these for a new caravan we bought and they work well with my Reese hitch with chains on cargo bars. The neck is quite wide for our trailer tongues, but they come with two sizes of bolts, allowing them to fit a variety of trailers. They fold well in half, hold up well. The only downside is that the pin holes are only on one side of the hinge, making it difficult to get the pin in one of the mounts to fit snugly against the propane cap. Not enough to knock the sprocket off, but still a…
