The Way To Go for Trailer Accessories

Great product. Well designed and easy to install. Can be installed in under an hour with the simplest of tools. I suggest following the tutorials on YouTube. U-Haul was going to charge $125-$150 to install the trailer wiring harness—so glad I went that route instead.

  • Impressive
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Easy Install: Hardware

This wiring harness was fairly easy to install on my 2004 Grand Caravan. Before ordering, I watched the CURT installation video on YouTube several times to familiarize myself with the process. Installed this hanger in less than an hour. As mentioned in some other reviews the cords could have been a bit longer but I had no problem plugging it into a trailer.

Pros
  • Nice touch

  • I won't say anything

Fast deployment! in connectors

Installation took about 5 minutes. I didn't shoot it back through the body. I simply routed the cables under the headlight. Then he pushed the cables into the van for a maximum of 5 minutes. Didn't pay attention to the ground wire. I had to use a drill to screw the bodies to the body. You could connect it to the other white wires since the lighting harness is already grounded. Otherwise no problem.

Good price but instructions and online videos are incomplete.

The quality is good. Good price. NOTE: If you are planning to install this in a Town & Country or Caravan with rear heating and air conditioning you may need a little more time to find the interior wiring access area on the right hand side. Installation videos on YouTube do not show rear heaters or air-conditioned vans. Small hands are also an advantage when laying wires.

super easy. If it looks complicated

This is the second time I have installed one of these CURT kits in a minivan. This one is even simpler than the previous one as it doesn't require a power module. Very easy. If it looks complicated, don't worry, even the simplest handyman can handle it. And it works! My only complaint? This wire falls out of the trunk and does not run outside the car. I assume the car itself is to blame for not docking the star.

  • One year trial

Well done and can be done with a little preparation

Be sure to check out the great YouTube videos on how to do it. Note on the passenger side: I used a piece of picture wire from the side of the lamp and then tied it to the end of this thing so I could feed it through. The driver's side is a little easier (less in the way) and fishing isn't required, but the same can be done. I also recommend getting a jack and tester for $6. This thing worked like a charm from the start. I bought an extension just in case.

  • Solid workmanship

because it only looks half finished

All connections worked so technically a working product. But the wiring is so short you can't hide it. It just hangs in the trunk when not in use! On a van, the trailer wiring doesn't get used that often, but the trunk does get used all the time! My wife asked why I didn't finish the project as it looks like it's only half done. Literally about 18-24 inches hanging in the trunk. A simple solution would be to add a few more feet of cable and the end could be stored in the same compartment as the
