Honda Pilot 7-Way Wiring Harness Kit

This kit is required for your 2009 Honda Pilot if it does not already have a 7-way hitch near the clutch. I was trying to work around this kit as I didn't realize it required a box that fits in the left rear 2nd compartment. This kit comes with fuses and relays so it has everything you need to power the wiring harness along with a 7 pin connector. When I removed the plastic cover on the left of the hitch I used a 7 mounting bracket to cut the minimal amount of plastic and used plastic between…

Easy install, great instructions, works great!

This is my first purchase and installation of a CURT product. I have to say it is as easy to install as they say it is. Everything connects to existing wiring (no splicing required). All you need to do is drill a pilot hole (3/32) and add a self-tapping screw for the ground wire and two self-tapping screws on the mounting bracket. I've read several reviews talking about the complexity of the mounting bracket and people wishing the instructions were better. I agree with everyone who said the…

  • Nice packaging

  • Poorly thought out

I recommend getting a Honda Ridgeline owner's manual and all .

Finally installed the wiring harness and it works fine. However, the installation instructions for the Honda Ridgeline are completely inadequate. The module behind the rear seats is very difficult to see and you have very little space and I could only get one hand without removing the rear seats. The 7-way yoke bracket is not designed for a 2017 First and you will need to modify it to drill holes in either the bracket or the cross member that supports the hitch receptacle. All custom forks will

Take your time and read others' comments for installation tips.

As I said, the instructions could be improved. After reading all the reviews I was ready to test. I was surprised when I pulled out the inner molding and the connector was right there. This part was very easy. I used an existing stud in the back firewall for the ground wire, and that was exactly where there was space to mount the controller. The connector behind the bumper was easy to find. I managed to unplug the connector and remove the cap. Once the new cable was connected, I reattached the…

The instructions were very misleading as to the skills required.

I recently purchased a 2019 Honda Ridgeline RTL-T 2WD pickup. The pickup came with a Class III towbar but with an incomplete wiring harness. My Honda dealer wanted $250 for this part and installation. I researched this article online and found this product; I even downloaded and read the installation guide. The 2-3 page instruction set lists the hardware required and the estimated time for a complete installation; For an experienced mechanic, the installation time was 20 minutes, for a beginner

Great harness but poor assembly instructions

I have purchased Curt harnesses in the past and have been very happy with them. They are well made and easy to assemble earlier. I found this trailer to be well made too and would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the incomplete instructions making installation much more difficult and time consuming than it should have been. I've been looking for a trailer for my 2017 Honda Ridgeline on the Curt website for months. Finally this one turned up when I was searching a few weeks ago. The…

This kit contains all the fuses, relays, modules and wiring harnesses needed to fit our 2011 Honda Pilot with a 7 pin connector. We have owned this car for many years and recently had to tow a small trailer with it. The Pilot features a factory 2-inch receiver previously only used on the tractor cargo box. I always assumed there was a wiring harness for the trailer somewhere, but I was wrong. Luckily I checked beforehand and found that I needed this kit installed and still had time to research…
