This is my second in 4 months.

I bought the first one at the end of June 2013. After 6 weeks my computer turned off and stopped working. I checked the adapter and it was very hot! My hand burned, it was so hot. I read a few reviews, asked a few questions and was told some of them had factory issues. I was impressed with the ease of setup. It's a very easy adapter to install and during the six weeks I've been using it everything has been fine (I thought). I bought a second one. My first was $9, this one was $19.99. I'mโ€ฆ

great idea good for networking products

Wow, I had no idea what was going to happen to me when I bought this product. let me tell you i connected it to my desktop computer and set it to wireless, i didn't realize it actually gave my pc a huge boost, i live in the mountains where there is virtually no internet, I got lucky when they bandaged me. My receiver didn't do very well at 12Mbps, but there is an X-BOX LIVE that works great. Well, after connecting to the D-Link wireless network, I immediately got up to 150 Mbps speedup. Yes Iโ€ฆ

Works well, a bit clunky - UPDATE 9/16/13

This item was rather uncomfortable for me. First of all, the adapter is larger than hoped for. The cover that covers the USB plug of the adapter does not snap onto the other end during use, leaving you with a loose cover that you need to do something with to avoid losing it. The installation of the card is quite clumsy, not plug and play; I had to go to the DLINK site to find the drivers. I know it's not a big deal, but these days I'm used to things like that just because I'm on Windows 7. Andโ€ฆ

Excellent 150Mbps Dongle

I was a little hesitant to buy this product at first after reading a review here about the DWA-125 having issues with XP like all my other Vista computers/ Laptops or Win 7 already have 802.11n capabilities built in. The only reason for this dongle is to use it with an old laptop running Windows XP SP2, which I saved as my "XP" computer (I have some old software that I still use sometimes, but it hasn't been upgraded to Vista or Win ported 7); but I decided to give it a try anyway and I'm gladโ€ฆ

Easy setup works well

I bought one of these for my parents. They recently got a new Wi-Fi computer that my dad tends to monopolize. In the winter it's not a big problem because my mom can use the computer next to the router, but in the summer it gets so hot that they can only run the computer in a room with a window air conditioner. They're very illiterate technically, so I took one of them to reduce the chances of her hitting him on the head with a Nerf bat to intercept emails. The installation was performed on the

Good range, tested on Linux Mint 9, 11, 13 and 15

This particular D-Link is plug and play on Linux Mint. I tested it directly on a large number of computers and operating systems, including Linux Mint 9, 11, 13 and 15. It works for these operating systems (especially Ubuntu). Tested range was about 15 percent better than the internal wireless card in the laptops and netbooks I've worked with. I often use this D-Link N-150 Mbps USB Wi-Fi (DWA-125) Wireless Network Adapter when installing Linux Mint on computers for friends who want to getโ€ฆ
