🎒 Dakine Hot Laps 5L Waist Bag Review

Another quality package from Dakine. Like the color and the look. Unfortunately, when I was carrying my gear and filling my bladder, the backpack was too heavy. It slid down my butt as I rode on a relatively flat trail. Sold it to my friend who is taller than my little wife. Great packaging, just not for me.

A friend recommended this product to me and I decided to buy it. This is my first fashion backpack and so far the cost is reasonable. What I don't like is the fact that when you really fill your bladder to the brim (2 liters) it can sit very oddly on your thigh and become uncomfortable. It's certainly better than the full-size package!

This thing made me want to turn into a fanny pack. I take it with me on every trip and it fits my phone, wallet, keys, knife, multi tool, tire changer, mini pump, 2 clif bars, sunglasses and 2 liters of water. Not to mention that the jacket can be fastened at the bottom. I also use it for hiking, day trips and just walking my dog. I've used it almost every day for the past 3 months and it still looks brand new. The Dakine quality is strong in this package. 🤘🏻

I love Dakine products so this came as a surprise. I don't want to give a 1 star review but this pack doesn't work. A few issues on first use. The magnetic hose holder is as durable as Peewee Herman. It's just too weak for any kind of MTB. The hose gets disconnected on every impact, it's ridiculous. So you're hurtling down the trail with a dangling inner tube ready to fly into your bike.
