I would like to give this product five stars. When it works it's great - it detected every vehicle crossing my street, very good range, no false alarms from animals (nearby lightning strikes sometimes set off an alarm, but I don't know if it's a transmitter or a sensor is). New review 1/12/19 Well, we had a bad cold just before Thanksgiving and the batteries were dead. So it looks like I got 3 months of it which is still better than 1 month but I wish it was better. New review from 10/27/19: 2 months have passed since the installation of the replacement device and the batteries. It still works great, much better than the previous module. I will let you know how long these batteries last but the last unit ate every month and this one is now 2 months old and working
