Durable and long lasting

If you buy a serpentine belt these Dayco belts will last you a long time (I change mine every 24,000 miles - your mileage may vary) with no sign of tiny cracks or wear, even in a hot one Engine compartment with blower.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Wrong strap as pictured

I did not receive the jagged polyester strap shown in the picture. The belt pictured is more flexible and more expensive, which is what I expected. The part number is correct, so it was a deliberate deception.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Upgradeable

7 liters is fine. The original has hardly any signs of wear.

Fits my 2003 4.7L Durango well. The original didn't wear much at 150,000 km but it was replaced with a defective water pump and a new lower hose to avoid later problems. The coolant was changed in one go. 5 stars for the price.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

  • Some cons

Good price, looks good (I'm not a mechanic)

I put it on the car about 4 months ago, it works perfectly. The local shop wanted about three times what I paid here, not counting the labor. I think I saved about $60 on this purchase by going through Revain. Good price, good quality (I'm not a mechanic) and fast delivery. I'm very happy that I've walked this path so far.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Delivered quickly and installed on my 2000 Chevrolet Venture Van

Delivered and installed promptly on my 2000 Chevrolet Venture. Easy to replace - use a 3/8 socket in the square hole in the end of the tensioner to loosen the tension and remove the old belt from one of the smooth pulleys. Put the new one on all but one of the plain pulleys, then loosen the tension again with a socket wrench and place the belt on the last plain pulley. Engine room for tools and towels and run it to make sure it's working properly. With the engine running, be aware of any pinch…

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Updates

Not the best for belts

Update Nov 2015: This belt started slipping within a year of installation and in September 2014 I replaced it with a Goodyear 882K6MK which works better on my SUV and is cheaper. Original Review, September 2013 All I can say is that on an older Durango or Dakota this relatively cheap maintenance - belts, spark plugs, coolant - is very helpful. I have no way of technically comparing the Factory Masters I had in my 2003 Dodge Durango SLT 4.7 with compatible Bosch (7962) FR8LCX Super Plus spark…
