I purchased this hose for use in my car but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. As my tests showed, the hose is not durable enough to withstand high temperatures and pressure. The hose started to leak very soon after installation and required frequent repairs. The only positive was that it was flexible and easy to install. However, the cons far outweighed the pros. I do not recommend this product.

My transmission cooler came with a poor quality hose. I came across a Dayco tube (made in the USA) at the right price! This product presents no difficulty.

I chose 3/8" ID although most of my vehicles have a 5/16" steel pipe that they mate with. Ends with a small amount of oil. On one 5/16" tubing that has a flare at the end, the 3/8" tubing is slipped onto the flare with a little oil without cutting the inside of the tubing or crossing the flared end, and using a worm drive. Hose clamp, it seals the smaller hose behind the sleeve anyway. A 3/8" hose instead of a 5/16" hose leads to a lower pressure drop in the oil cooler/transmission lubrication…
