They worked better than I expected but it would help if they included new locking rings to hold them in place. I lost my locking ring and just buying one to replace the one I lost was almost impossible.

I have an old tool box that needs new shelves. Using the part number on the old frame resulted in a frustrating and confusing search for a replacement. It was the perfect replacement. Nice and strong and a real bargain for the price. Hope they last long

Price was half what they wanted for one of these at the local dealership. Have two of these. Needed new racks for my diamond coated tool box on the back of the pickup and they did the job! I wish we had thought to review Revain sooner when we bought them for our pickup truck's hood and for the cab door. Our lesson learned. Thank you Revin!

I used this product to replace a worn pair that is attached to the tool box in the back of my truck. After years of trying to hold the lid with one hand and pulling items out of the toolbox with the other, I'm happy to report that those days are finally over. The lifting legs were very easy to install (less than 5 minutes for both) and work great!

I put them on an old pickup truck's diamond plate tool box. They were a little longer than the ones that came in the box but I adjusted them to fit. Like others, I couldn't manually compress them. But when I installed them on the lid, they worked like a charm. The mechanical advantage of the lid's weight combined with the placement of the struts made all the difference. Very important.

My truck tool box is at least 30 years old so it is well made, the lid is very heavy. Rather terribly heavy and difficult to hold, the lid slammed so hard I winced. I don't want to imagine what would happen if my fingers got in the way. Long story short I bought these shocks and the toolkit works great.
