Disappointing Automotive Starter 12V

The DB Electrical starter I purchased for my high-performance car barely lasted a year. According to my experience it had poor build quality and was prone to malfunctioning. Unfortunately, it failed randomly on a road trip and caused a significant delay. The only positive point was that it fit properly and installation wasn't too difficult .However, I wouldn`t recommend this starter due to its unreliable performance..

Pros
  • Fits properly
Cons
  • Poor build quality, prone to malfunctioning

Perfect for my 1949 Ford 8N 12V Tractor

DB Electrical SFD0091 8N 12V Starter perfect for my Ford 8N Tractor. SFD0091 comes without a bendix, I just threw my working bendix off a burned out starter. This unit has 12 volt excitation coils rated at 8N that convert to 12 volts. I paid $95, the other 12v model that comes with Bendix installed is the SFD0191 and it sells for $155. Replacing the bendix involved compressing the spring with a vise, removing the pin, and reinstalling the surgery.
