Beautiful and affordable.

I needed a new starter for my mower and found it at a good price. That works great. Installation was easy and it works every time I turn the key.

Installation on John Deere STX46

Not sure if the plastic covering over the gear teeth is the packaging material or is actually part of the assembly? My device did not have this plastic cover.

For STX 38. 1. Failed, replaced immediately.

For John Deere STX 38 Black Mowers. 1 piece ordered, arrived on time. After installation, the product made a strange grinding noise. Went to the Revain website and asked for a replacement (I returned the faulty unit, Revain paid for shipping and Revain sent me a replacement. The replacement arrived the next day and I installed it immediately to test the same noise. No noise and the product works great I will recommend and use Revain again.

Correct price with minor adjustments

I fitted this starter to my Sears LT2000 17hp Kohler. Installation was easy and quick. I've started the mower 10 times in a row and only 3 times has the starter properly disengaged. Each time he clung to the flywheel for about 1 second. I removed the starter and put some shims I made out of cardboard cut out (only needed a very small spacer) to move it slightly away from the flywheel. Launched 10 more times in a row without incident. As it is now winter, I have not used the mower yet. Test runs

I just don't care about the extremely poor design of the hot rod mount, resulting in .

I've heard that the brush contacts can snap out of the case. Mine too. My take on this is that the bolt is basically a carriage bolt in a weak seat. If you put a hot wire on the starter and the threads or bolt turn, you are pulling on the internal wiring, which can damage it. I found out about it after I ordered the 3rd motor. I can be more careful with this and use other details if needed. This is a steal for the price, my local store has a replacement price of $240. I just don't care aboutโ€ฆ
