This tug is made of high quality leather. I was particularly impressed by the embroidery on the handles. Ideal as a reward for working dogs.

It was real junk. It was expensive and lasted 2 days before it seemed to have ripped apart. Extremely disappointed because I assumed price = quality. not in this case. Stay away!

Somehow I ordered the wrong item when ordering. I tried to order a jute horn and I think I chose the wrong item. It's a fairly smooth suede and it's very durable and my dog loves it, but it's not as easy to grab because it's quite thick and the leather is more slippery than jut or french linen tugs. I bought this as a tug for my Wire Fox Terrier who can destroy almost any toy in a jiffy. So far this works quite well. In fact, he prefers to tug at the yellow "handles" than the leather case itself. As another reviewer noted, it's quite full. I also have the unpadded version (12" x 2"), but it's hard and not chewable.
