I love the chain guide but it was more work than I anticipated as my bottom bracket wouldn't come loose. Anyway, it's on and I like the look

I do not know what material the guide is made of, but the guide is very weak. Also, the plastic is too thin. The lead was broken after a couple of aggressive rides. I have to pay more to get real MTB parts.

Works great. Simply remove the drive side bottom bracket, install the chain guide and reinstall the bottom bracket. Adjusting the actual rail to the correct height is a little tricky, but all said and done, installation only took about 30 minutes.

I bought a Decas crankset and bought this for it. Strangely, it doesn't fit - it sits too close to the frame. I even moved the chainring to the innermost part of the setup. I was disappointed. I had to add spacers at the top where they shouldn't be installed - it wasn't a clean install. It had been in place for a couple of months now so the most annoying thing was knowing I had to adjust it to fit a crank from the same company. I converted 2x10 to 1x10. My chain was coming off so I figured it would work with my setup which is 11-50t and a narrow 30t width up front with a Shimano XT MT-800 BB. 30t is too small as the chain guide will rub against the four bolts that attach the chainring to the cranks if you try to install the guide as directed. The guide itself and the seals are ordinary plastic, but in case anyone is wondering, everything else is metal. I'm sure if I had 32t or more it would work fine. I hope my…
