The shape of the chest is curved along the long sides (front and back), creating large gaps when the lid is closed between the lid and the chest . Very bad fit. The holes in which to insert padlocks do not match. I bought one that had this problem, sent it back and replaced it and the second unit had the same problem. Sent back for a refund.

Product well made Top edge of box tilted inwards causing lid not to close or not close properly. I like this box for the extra compartments that are on the lid and when it closes well it's a good watertight box and that's the only problem. (optional) I reordered a second box and received it before I could return the first one and it came back the same way. Stay away from this box if you don't want your stuff to get wet.

I bought this about 4 years ago to use as a utility box on the back of my Kawasaki T4 to store tools, first aid items etc. I just put bolts through the bottom of the box and into the bed with mounting bolts, nuts and fender trim next to the plastic. I've used it on two different UTVs and it's holding up great. It has enough space for the gear I leave behind and room for extra gear if needed. This was a purchase to avoid the cost of a second airline bag. I'll buy a small coaster to use with this crate and keep it in the crate when flying. I was able to pack some displays and equipment for the show, although it was usually an oversized bag which I paid extra for. like a second bag and without extra charge.
