Easy to install. It took about 30 minutes. Watch how to install on YouTube. Make sure you have 2 connecting wires and small zip ties. The kit does not include them. To update. The lock stopped working after 5 months. Tries to open and close but fails.

Installed this on my truck and has worked great from first use after installation to today 5 months later. When I press unlock it tries to fire but doesn't have enough power to actually lock/unlock. Revain handled the shipping so there doesn't seem to be a way to get a guarantee where one does exist. I think I will buy a brand name or genuine Toyota part to replace it. I hope they have a better handling of the warranty.

This worked on my 15 year old Tundra. There are no instructions included so I spent a lot of time watching videos on YouTube. Let's just say I think they change wire color over the generations (and even years I think) of the Tundra, but they always come out of the same two places on the passenger footwell wiring harness. As for the noise, people complain too much. It works as promised and is one of the top 5 mods.

The product shown on Revain does not match the one supplied. The tabs on the metal bracket are reversed so the actuator will not lock or unlock the tailgate as described. Look closely at the mount in each of the images and you will see design inconsistencies. There may be more than one version/design and those who gave this product a good rating are fortunate that they made the right choice. I have attached a few photos that better represent what I am describing.

Installation was very easy. Take your time and route the wire properly and drill 1/4 holes in the rubber grommet under the passenger seat and the plastic covers on the tailgate to route the wire. You want to run a wire to the passenger door and it will be tied to the green wire and the red wire. Go to an auto parts store and ask for "T-Tap Connectors". Perfect fit, relatively easy installation. There are no instructions in the box so watch the YouTube video for help. However, if you are mechanically inclined, you can understand. Just insert screws, tie the wires together, find a way to run them into the cabin and connect them. You will need your own zip ties and positioning connectors or solder to connect the wires.
