Holds Tight - Accessories and Supplies

They hold the Def Audio speaker very well. The angle of the brackets seems odd, and the orientation for a speaker standing straight off the wall turned out to be a bit odd. They hold up great, but it's quite difficult to achieve symmetry when you have OCD eyes.

Can hold speaker off roof upside down

Looks great, very durable and 100% recommended for certain speakers. Please note they are supplied in pairs and you will need 3 pairs for 5.1 as a specific center channel speaker requires two. They keep my heavy speakers off the roof, not the wall. See photos. :-)

Terrible design, your speakers fall on the floor

I don't understand all the positive reviews. I have 4 of these. 2 front speaker mounts and 2 rear speaker mounts. All speakers gasp. I had to apply sandpaper to the ball to even keep it still. Just today one of the speakers fell out completely and fell on the floor. Useless scrap and now my speaker could break.

Mount the bracket vertically for heavier speakers.

Good braces and work great. I have DT-1000s hanging on the walls. I aligned the bracket horizontally first, and no matter how hard I tightened the clamp, the speakers fell off. I changed the mount orientation to vertical and the problem was solved. They've been there for months and haven't moved. In addition, the hole in the center of the bracket is large enough to put the speaker cable through, allowing for a cleaner installation. Really good mount, just a bit pricey at $25 per mount.

Great indoor/outdoor brackets for hanging moderately heavy speakers

These brackets work very well for hanging my Sonos One speakers outdoors. They are strong enough and easy to adjust to the angle I need. However, they aren't really meant to be moved to new positions frequently - a hex wrench is required to change position. They allow you to install the speaker at any angle, vertical, horizontal or upside down. Highly recommended. (Note: They don't come with screws, the manufacturer says that's because they don't know the specific application you have in mindโ€ฆ

Required Wall Brackets for 5.1 System

I bought a 5.1 surround sound system (Klipsch Quintet and Polk 10 inch subwoofer) and needed some mounting hardware. My main concerns with the mounts were aesthetics (low profile look), quality and flexibility in speaker placement. I was initially skeptical about the $50 for 2 price tag as I found several others at significantly lower prices with "decent" reviews. I bought 2 sets = $100 = 4 mounting brackets and they are exactly what I wanted. Very solid, low profile mount (didn't want it to be

Working speaker mounts

I bought these to wall mount two Klipsch surround speakers that weigh just over 8 pounds each. The screw that connected to the speakers was fine, but I didn't like the screw that was included to connect the two halves of the mechanism together to clamp the ball (thus locking the speaker in place keep). This screw had a head that required an Allen wrench to turn. Not only was it impractical, but there was limited space between the speaker and the wall when you tightened it, making it difficultโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hard to say

I bought 2 sets of Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 and enough mounts for all 10 in wall speakers. I purchased empty 2-gang nylon pads from Home Depot to cover the junction box and adjacent rack area. (The house has 3 rooms wired for surround sound). I made a 1" hole in the cap where the bracket goes but still hides the hole so I can route the cable from the inside of the wall to the speaker without showing it. I then installed the bracket directly into the stud using 2 x #14 2.5" screwsโ€ฆ

They seem to be working. Unsatisfied.

UPDATE CHANGE 10/24/2014 They've been around for almost a year now. My initial complaint that they were barely enough to hold the DT 1000 needs updating. They hold 1000 in place. So in the end they work. My original complaint about stem twisting still stands. And to be safe, I had to TIGHTEN the set screw to the point where I was really, really scared I was going to break something. But they didn't break and in the end they survived. They are still very expensive for what they are. If there was

Remove the screw from the brackets

This is my second pair of Pro-Mount 90 brackets which I have carried for many years and have proven to be good wall mounts for my pro cinema pro speakers designed for retention and support. Speakers weighing less than 10 pounds. As with the first pair (and second pair), I encountered the same issues most people mention, the speaker sticking to the clamp or falling off after installation due to the included screw; clamping the ball is not strong enough to withstand the torque, clamp the ball and
