    Overpowering smell good for plates

    Nice set but all items have a strong odor smelling like the items are made from burnt bamboo. Cannot use them for cooking.

    Mats are essential for making sushi

    Worked well. Made sushi for the first time and it was delicious. A carpet is definitely needed for the simple preparation of sushi. I wrapped it in plastic wrap to keep the rice from getting caught in the cracks. I already have a few rice paddles, but now I have one more 😂. The distributor worked very well. Overall a very good set.

    Great sushi set for those who want to learn a new skill!

    I received this set by accident, just wanted to make sushi for the first time. For the price you can't go wrong! The carpets were great and everything else was helpful. It comes with online instructions, which is nice, but you can also go online and find tons of videos on how to roll sushi. I made about 4 rolls in two nights and am very satisfied. Baking buns is easy and fun! Great starter kit for those who want to try it.

    It was so damn cool! My new neighbor was home sick. So I bought this and surprised her with my semi-#?! craftsmanship and a bit of Japan, didn't look perfect, but tasted damn good. She loved it so I bought her a set as a gift. I'm buying one now too 🤗 It was so easy folks. Take the time you need. Have fun.     This is exactly what you would expect from a traditional bamboo sushi rolling mat. There are some issues with this design and these are pretty easy to overcome, but compared to other bamboo sushi mats this is as good as anything I've seen. One problem is that the design of these mats allows moisture from the rice and other ingredients to get onto the string that holds the bamboo sticks together. You can get around this by using plastic wrap to create a barrier between the food and the mats…

    Love this sushi set. Great for beginners like me. The value is great. I made vegan sushi for my wife and she loved it. To prepare a sushi roll, you need to buy the right rice. I bought koshihikari rice which is very short grain rice. Rinse the rice in a bowl of cold water, then drain or use a colander. Do this about three times until the water runs clear. This allows you to remove excess starch. I cook in a rice cooker so it's easier. 1:1 ratio. For example, a cup of rice is a cup of water…

    Loved the set! Excellent quality and two carpets! I've never used a spreader, usually just putting on gloved hands to spread the rice, but gave it a try anyway. Well the spreader worked great and when you make multiple rolls for yourself and others it's nice and looks more hygienic. I needed a new rice paddle as my old one was already old.
