Delphi AF10131 Mass Flow Sensor Review

After using this sensor for several months and struggling with intermittent failures, tripping and the engine stopping and restarting, I replaced it again. My car problem is now resolved, but not only did I not pay the cost of the sensor, it also caused me grief. They should be tested in advance to avoid these problems and also replace other parts like I did.

Fairly easy installation on my truck. I wore it for about three weeks including a 600 mile hike in Oregon last weekend. I've probably ridden this part about 1000 miles already and for now give it a thumbs up. We'll be heading out on a cross-country tour in a few weeks so hopefully it'll keep up the thumbs up!

The part is brand new, tested and only works intermittently which can be very frustrating as you think you have fixed the problem when in fact you have replaced it which makes troubleshooting variable makes more difficult. Stick with the OEM, it may cost more but you'll save more on diagnostics trying to figure out why new parts only work half the time.

We encountered this and then had trouble starting the truck in cold weather. After several trips to the mechanic and many morning disappointments, the mechanic discovered that this sensor was faulty. They replaced the sensor and the truck had no more problems starting and running. We wanted to save some money but ended up spending more trying to figure out what was wrong with the truck.

I had a faulty MAF sensor on my Mustang. Ordered, delivered, but the car wouldn't start. I immediately removed the Delphi MAF sensor and it was so hot I couldn't hold it. I installed my old (bad) sensor and my car started and ran, still tripping over the bad MAF sensor. But what I got from Revain was bad from the start. I strongly advise against purchasing this item.
