🚲 Optimized Delta Da Vinci Bike Tire Tray Review

Good for protecting garage wall from bike tires. No screws were included, but after receiving the package, installation was easy.

It was a good concept but it doesn't stick very well and keeps falling off. When you get this, think of a better way to make it stick to the wall.

Works well with Racor B-1R Vertical Bike Rack. Keeps ant dirt from the rear tire off the wall. Ease of installation. Has double sided tape or you can use screws - or both

A great way to protect walls from bike tires, especially if you need to hang your bike in a small apartment. I didn't use the dowels and screws that came with it. The self-adhesive backing is more than adequate as it doesn't really take any weight.

I wanted to screw them on. There were two screw holes visible in the photos, but they weren't punched. A quick drill or even using a self-tapping screw will do the trick. Adhesive tape (2.5 inches) is already attached to the back. The compartment fits a 2.5" tire and has holes that can be used to thread through a mounting strap to secure the wheel.

Works ok but I'd say the same as other reviewers: don't worry about the glue, better secure it with a screw. I use it with the Racor B-1R Solo Upright Bike Mount and it works great for keeping the rear wheel off the wall. However, it seems a bit pricey for what it is - it costs about the same as a front wheel mount! It's just a piece of transparent plastic and nothing more. I bought 2 of these to use with my Clug wall mount but in both cases a piece of adhesive comes out and falls off about a month after use . I've replaced the tape to no avail. If your wall isn't perfectly flat without some texture, it probably won't work. I suggest they include a pre-drilled hole for buyers who only want to use one screw. So now I have to place the tire tray against the wall by hand to attach my bike to the hook and the weight of the rear wheel holds it in place. If I had known…

Update June 2, 2012: Initially I was satisfied with this product. You can read my first review below and see that it was an easy install and I think the product is good at what it does. The fourth time I used it, the tray detached from the wall and took some paint with it. The wheel moved sideways A BIT while I was hanging the bike up and that was enough. Now I noticed that the tray has some perforated holes where 2 screws can be inserted very easily. It's great and I'll probably end up doing…
