Fits, but the thread is so-so.

The thread is a little smaller but it doesn't hurt unless someone goes to the post office to tighten it. I'd like a little better thread fit, but it's workable. I didn't go for a fancy washer - I used one, but the rubber center deforms easily by simply pinching it with your finger. I'll probably go back to a stiff nylon washer next time I change the oil.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • reliability

Did not fit 2000 Wrangler.

Bought to fit a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The product appears to have the correct pitch and thread pitch, but the threads themselves appear dull and thicker than the factory plug and will not thread into the oil pan. I didn't try to force the fork out of fear of cross threads. I believe if streams could be thinner this would work. I give 1 star because it doesn't serve its purpose. The magnet was very strong. The material seemed durable. It just doesn't fit.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Security

Worked great, the threads are raw.

Thread size 1/2-20 and a good flanged head that protects the oil pan from contact with the bushing. The magnet is twice the size of a previously ordered competitor product. The only downside is the cheap galvanizing instead of the more durable cadmium. Also, the threads are rough and stopped halfway through the perforating threads in my thick aluminum oil pan. I suppose I could have forced it, instead I chose to screw the derale connector with a 1/2-20 die. After that it fits perfectly and…

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Operating speed
