USE OF THIS PRODUCT RISKS SERIOUS ENGINE DAMAGE

Serious design problem! The housing has a threaded adapter held in place by a locking ring. Everything is going well, including the filter, but wait, that's not all. An adapter located in the housing allows fluid to pass between the outer rim (dirty oil side) and the clean side of the filter, allowing dirty, unfiltered oil into the engine or transmission. HOW? The threaded adapter fits into the recess but there is no gasket connecting it to the filter. The pressurized oil thus flows past the…
