Looks like it'll do the job well. I think the nipples are too short, contacted the manufacturer about this, they said they would send a longer nipple. Never seen. Too bad.

Good fit and quality despite EMPI (not Derale) marking. EMPI has said goodbye to the high-quality products they used to be in most VW circles (although some are still fine).

I chose it for its size and because it fits Wix hydraulic oil filters. Nice solid aluminum block and all threads were just right for the fittings. Nothing leaks and it's pressurized so I'd buy another if needed.

so don't order a filter that says it fits this base. I ordered the base and the AC Delco pf61e together because Revain says they fit together. Spring. The filter slides directly along the thread. This base doesn't go anywhere. Luckily my other cars use this filter so I'm not at a loss. The only problem now is that I have to figure out which filter I'm going to use.

Mold quality was critical in some other reviews; I found no problems machining the part and the sealing surface was well machined. This has worked pretty well for the upgrades I've made to my port style parts washer. I installed it in a washing machine basket so there weren't any outside plumbing to hold on to when moving it around the store.

I have one of these outriggers but it is not Derale and not very good quality. The casting seems fine and the threads are well done, but the problem is the filter gasket finish, it's terrible, the finish has never been finished, it has numerous pits and ridges. I thought I'd show up right away, but why do I have to pay for this item while others are working on it? I will return it if it's the best Taiwan can do then they shouldn't do it for me.

Looked good but had a small leak from the first minute. The transmission oil filter is installed in the engine compartment. I thought the filter was defective so I measured the filter mount and gasket dimensions inside and out and confirmed the correct Fram filter size. Bought a Mobile 1 with the same configuration and it's leaking too. You can see liquid on the edge of the filter and drips under the filter. And yes, I put both on according to the filter's instructions. Removed to check machine
