Description of Stainless Steel Elbow Fitting by DERNORD

1/2” Male thread x 1/2” Barb OD (12mm). Barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible and semi-rigid hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule. 90-degree elbow for connecting hose to threaded pipe at an angle. Temperatures range from -40 to 160 °F. 304 stainless steel for strength and resistance to corrosion.

The best in hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing overpriced

Not too happy with the price and what I got for that price. The 1" suction hose doesn't fit properly on my log splitter. It's very easy to put on when you need a snug fit. I've tried two different types of hose and this is definitely the smaller fitting.

This is a 1/2 " NPT X 3/8 " hose barb!

If you are looking for a 1/2" NPT X 1/2" hose fitting, this is not it! This is a 1/2" NPT X 3/8" barb for the hose! The picture says 1/2 x 1/2 but it's 1/2 x 12mm! It's a 3/8" hose fitting with about a 1/4" hole. Too small for my purpose! I have several of these sizes and they are male only. I need a true 1/2" NPT X 1/2" hose barb to work properly. Just bad publicity!

Well designed for high flow domestic use. 3/4 inch silicone hose fitting

This is sold as a homebrew fitting which requires it to be used threaded, which is wrapped with Teflon tubing tape. Initially, I noticed that NPT threads have a minimum pitch diameter that precludes their use in high pressure piping systems, but for use in 3/4" OD and 1/2" ID inch silicone tubing, to create a high flow arc by sliding on a 3/4 hose fitting, that's excellent.
