🔧 20V MAX Cordless Grease Gun by DEWALT (Model DCGG571M1) Review

Got this for my husband's birthday and he LOVES it! He's a lumberjack so he's constantly greasing the gear so I figured it was time to switch from a manual grease gun to this one. Arrived as described in a hard plastic box with battery, charger and even 2 tubes of lube. It is easy to use and pumps out fat quickly. He is very happy with that. Good value for money.

The quality of this grease gun appears to be top notch. But be careful. It is almost impossible to remove the factory installed clutch. I'm still working! Unfortunately the factory most likely used Loctite. It's *very* frustrating trying to use a different clutch. If you're planning on using another clutch like the Lock-n-Lube, you've been warned! This grease gun is a beast that will force Lucas Heavy Duty Grease through any grease sent to our gear. Lite is a good feature, easy to download, solid. Everything corresponds to the description, delivered quickly, works perfectly. Also comes with a clamp on the grease head for easier handling of gearboxes and loader arms. This thing saved a life! Great relief for tired hands and it's comfortable. However, there are two things that bother me. 1- A manual grease gun applies MUCH more pressure so if your zerks are stuck this thing will just remove them from the top/front instead of breaking the nipple on the fitting. 2- there is practically no self-cleaning. You have to replace your cartridges BEFORE they dry, or you'll have to sit and fiddle with them while they're just drying and have to fiddle with them to…

Love this product until it's time to replace the cartridge. Then I hate it. The spring doesn't compress properly, but hangs on the edge, making it impossible to put the cap on. You have to leave the spring cocked, insert the plunger into a new cartridge, and then hit the cap until it reaches the threads. Significantly accelerates the lubrication of vehicles or machines. What's nice is that you can lower it to your side when you're under the car by hitting the grease nipples and just pushing the button. Much easier, much faster, less work. You may consider wrapping a plastic grocery bag around the body when using it. The tool and battery tend to get covered in grease. I bought this product because I used to lubricate my John Deere 3025 with a mini Lucas Oil manual syringe. Then I bought another, bigger tractor and a new trailer with tandem axle and realized that's crazy. So I took a chance and bought this product.
