Required for service

Got this and can't do without it. In this drill holder I have several attachments (screwdriver and drill), rotary sharpening stones and rotary rasp, markers, wire strippers, tape measure, etc. neatly sorted and always at hand. No need to fumble through 5 bags of clothing to find the one thing I need, only to find it "left there". Got one for my drill and impact driver.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Out of style

right hand with fingers due to an accident many years ago) so I use cross drawing. Great for me and works well enough while you're on the stairs, any help would be better than no help - just don't drop it. Only downside of using left hand so right hand must be perfect!

  • Great overall performance

Handy when working from stairs or roofs.

Two modifications to this item. 1) I added a belt clip so I can attach it to my belt without unbuckling my waistband. Just an online clip secured with machine bolts, which I'll replace with leather rivets when I find it. I can still use the large holster loop if needed. 2) Nylon strap with buckle should be Velcro at the end. The included strap falls into the holster and is difficult to pull out with the drill installed. It's quite difficult to snap gloves on. One inch wide velcro would be more…

SO incredibly handy when using an impact wrench. I .

Extremely handy when using an impact wrench. I used to place the driver on the floor, hold the part with one hand, screw my mouth in, and then bend down to pick up the driver. Stretching and usually moving what I was holding. It was a disaster. Now I'll fetch the screwdriver without looking, hold the part, pick up the screwdriver without looking, and screw in the screw/bolt, etc. I suppose the same goes for using a drill. Handy pockets for screwdrivers, drills, bit holders, etc. Can't comment…

Seems well made with quality materials

I usually wait a bit before writing a review but I'm so impressed with this drill holster that I'll start the review right away. I may change my rating in the future. The material of the holster is heavy/thick and the stitching feels well made and tight. The holster fits comfortably on my belt. I have holstered 18v and 20v drills and they fit the holster perfectly. I even tried holstering my heavy duty DEWALT 20V MAX cordless impact wrench and it worked! Not that I always carry this drill with…

The beats tear my pockets.

This holster works great except for the clip that holds the drill in the holster. It is too small and difficult to release due to the opening angle of the clip. When I work I wear medium weight tight gloves and I can't get this strap off. I leave my drill beltless and most of the time it stays in a holster. One day if I swing my adze too hard it'll fall out, but it's better than ripping the pockets of all my work jeans. On the outside it has several useful pockets and additional holes for other

Belt clip on drill handle is better

Without a strap, the case doesn't hold the drill well when moving. The whole point for me is to quickly holster it, climb a ladder, use a drill and holster it back. I can't bend and loosen the drill bit every few seconds. Without a strap, the drill falls out very easily, especially with larger batteries that strain the back of the drill. The least useful feature is the bit holder, which is why I bought the holster. Bits keep falling out, snagging on ladder rungs, falling through half of the…
