The original blades that came with my planer lasted 3 years and cut hundreds of feet through pine and cedar planks. I have tried Powertech blades. These will probably last longer. I have also used Infinity Blades, they are much better. Thicker, longer, but a lot more money. I think you can even get away with sharpening Infinity blades once or twice (this destroys the depth of cut sensors as they can't be adjusted). I'll try to sharpen my Infinity and Dewalt blades. I love my Dewalt planner. However, after the installation of 4 white spruce 2x6 boards, the sheet had already flaked off on the left side. A bit disappointed but I understand that things like this happen. And yes, I know they can be rotated. I was hoping for a slightly better result than 4 soft pieces of wood and then chipped.
