I bought this to add an oval hole to a belt but found the various punches came in handy for many projects. I definitely think it's good value for money!

These hole punches are so small it's a waste of money if you don't need tiny holes. You also have to spend a lot of time sharpening them. Cheap Chinese stuff and not even worth returning as it went in the trash.

I have expensive belts. I lost a few pounds and had to add a hole in each strap. These tools are amazing. Each strap had a slightly different sized hole and these tools fit perfectly into the holes. Insert the tool carefully and with a medium hammer blow. I did it on a block of wood.

Excellent hole punches for occasional use. Some belts fit through the slot. These punches are clearly intended for casual and amateur use, not heavy duty and/or professional use. However, they are very good for casual use at a reasonable price.

The time it takes to sharpen properly is not worth the money saved. The beveled finish from the exit hole to the main bevel is so rough that you will ruin your piece with the wobble required to remove it after impact. I gradually wet/dry sanded the slope to 2000 grit and the result has improved a lot. But the initial bevel was just sad. full furrows of what they sanded it with. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone except a beginner tanner.

Bought to punch holes in a belt. Made some belts. Edges tend to curl when used on tape stock. For the price you really can't complain. I smoothed the edges and re-sharpened the edges. Now they work much better. The factory edge had the wrong taper, causing the edge to be too thin. You must remember that this is an easily calibrated metal. This is a really good set. For my Dockers leather belt I only needed 3mm x 7mm. I put the belt on the acacia pole. I then put an old belt on top of it, which serves as a template. I carefully and firmly inserted the stamp into the existing hole. Then I hit my fist about 3 times. Those were decent punches. Then I took the belt off and checked underneath.
