Good for grinding dog nails

I use larger drill bits (round and tubular for grinding my dog nails (smoothing). They work VERY well - no friction "heat" on the claw like a sanding belt, making it more comfortable for the dog and taking less time and effort to remove/smooth the extra claw.

Pros
  • This is a new set of 10 different diamond coated drill bits
Cons
  • Requires socket

Ground sharp glass/ceramic edges on the countertop

I got this to Abrading uses my cracked/chipped glass top (or ceramic, I can't tell). Wear safety goggles and use caution as glass or ceramic will continue to crack if misused. Much better than spending over a thousand to replace a device.

Pros
  • Ideal for filing glass, ceramic, tile, brick, plastic, wood, fiberglass, stone, carbide, gold, platinum, silver, metals and other hard materials
Cons
  • unreliable

Much better than traditional bits

They are excellent for fine detail work where smoothness is important. I had them sharpen a titanium dive knife and they actually worked, unlike whetstones that didn't work. I've also used them on my Invisalign retainers to smooth out sharp edges. I'm so glad I had her for this.

Pros
  • This set of Diamond Burs allows for precision shaping, grinding and finishing
Cons
  • thoughtlessly

They last longer than others!

I bought several different diamond bits to use on beach rocks. some were only enough for one stone! These are still good! You can see/feel when a diamond is worn and I'm so glad they work so well. I always use underwater at the lowest possible speed to avoid heat (which will burn out the diamond dust) and all the stones are the same relatively soft stones. A harder stone like quartz will definitely wear them down faster.

Pros
  • Can be used with a Dremel tool
Cons
  • Crumpled
